Remember Me announced by CAPCOM

Capcom’s Gamescom 2012 press event focused largely on known announced titles, the likes DmC, Resident Evil 6 and Lost Planet 3. One interesting announcement however was that of Remember Me, an action-adventure set in the far-flung year of 2084 being developed by DONTNOD Entertainment.

Remember Me mixes a lot of 3rd person elements we’ve come to know over the last decade or so. But what’s more interesting to note is the story and the game style. Unlike most stealth based games, this one deals with mind manipulation. From the looks of the trailer it looks like each mind you get to manipulate opens up as a puzzle with an end objective (like all puzzles don’t!!). I thought that was really fun. Remember, what you’re manipulating is that person’s memories, so that they end up taking your desired direction in real life.

It’s a mind fuck that you’ll really get a kick out of!

For now, we know Remember Me is being developed for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms and is scheduled to launch in May 2013.
